Your child's physician will prescribe ADDERALL XR to be taken by mouth once each day in the morning, but there are additional ways that the medicine can be taken.

• Capsules can be taken whole, or the capsule may be opened and the entire contents sprinkled on soft foods, such as apple sauce¹¹
• If the sprinkle method is used, the soft food containing the beads should be consumed immediately and should not be chewed. Do not store for later use¹¹
