Getting the Most From ADHD Treatment With ADDERALL XR

If you have just recently begun taking ADDERALL XR, or if you are about to start soon, it’s important to know that you play a key role in your ADHD treatment’s success—particularly in the early stages.

Here are a few tips for getting the most from your ADHD treatment with ADDERALL XR:

  • Work closely with your doctor—Open communication with your doctor is absolutely crucial when starting a new medication. To get your dosing right, your doctor will be asking for your feedback, so pay attention to how you are responding to ADDERALL XR. Don’t hold back on sharing any ADHD symptoms, questions or concerns about possible side effects of ADDERALL XR; every piece of information is important. The more your doctor knows, the better he or she can help you
  • Tell your doctor about other medical conditions—You and your doctor have probably already discussed your medical history and other conditions you may have. However, if you’re unsure that your doctor has all your medical information, talk with him or her before taking ADDERALL XR. Click here for information about other medical conditions and ADDERALL XR
  • Discuss any medications you are taking for other conditions—You and your doctor have probably also discussed medications you may be taking for other conditions. But if you’re not certain—or if you may have forgotten to mention some medicines (even herbal remedies) you are taking—inform your doctor right away. Read more about other medications.
